Devon Longhouses have traditionally been added to over the generations, and Camellia Cottage forms part of the original farmhouse. Recently renovated to a very high standard, yet retaining many of it’s original features, this property offers a traditional cosy atmosphere to suit all types of holiday.
The kitchen / dining room is an open-plan light and airy space.The galley-style kitchen, using traditional style units and butler sink, leads into the sunny dining area, which looks out to the garden area and fields beyond. This leads directly into the enclosed patio area, which faces due south and is a natural sun-trap.
The accommodation can sleep to a maximum of 7 occupants (2 bedroom choice) or 11 when using all 3 bedrooms.
The Lounge (originally the farmhouse kitchen) has a traditional cosy inglenook fireplace. It housed the original bread-oven , but now has a wood-burning stove, creating a warm, cosy atmosphere on those winter evenings. There is a also beamed ceiling and art deco furniture. Plus digital TV, DVD , a library of books and films, and also has a double sofa-bed.
The bathroom traditionally is downstairs and boasts a double spa-bath (relaxing after a hard day),toilet etc., and gives access to the washing machine housed under the stairs.
The master bedroom has a king-size bed and the en-suite facilities has a power shower for an exhilarating experience.
The second bedroom just has double and single beds.
The optional third bedroom contains a kingsize bed and a double sofa bed
This property has oil fired central heating throughout. All utility cost are included in the tariff. Cot/high chair available if required.
